NPORS

Sibbald Training is an approved NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) training provider. Since NPORS was formed in 1992 it has grown to one of the UK’s leading accreditation bodies for plant operator training. NPORS works closely with employers across various sectors, including construction, utilities, warehousing and distribution, ports and marine, rail, and agriculture, to ensure that high-quality training and assessments are delivered.

Recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), NPORS-accredited training providers are fully competent to train, assess, and certify plant operators.

The NPORS certification aims to offer a flexible and practical approach to meet employer needs while ensuring operators are properly trained and competent. Individuals who successfully complete both theoretical and practical assessments in specific plant categories are issued an NPORS operator registration card. This card confirms the operator’s ability to safely and effectively operate the equipment listed on the back of the card.
