Course Aims
The Tow Tractor course, also referred to as a tow tug, will give you the skills needed to be a safe and efficient tow tractor driver. Tow tugs are used within a wide range of environments, including airports, manufacturing, distribution, power plants, mail sorting and waste. The course is largely practical in nature and there will be no more than 3 people on the course to ensure you have enough time on the truck.Course Content

- Starting/moving/stopping and steering
- Pre-use inspection
- Driving on/off ramps and inclines
- Battery care and maintenance
- Coupling and uncoupling
- Reversing and manoeuvring
