To provide revision on the theory of streetworks specifications and to assess candidates against the national standards for streetworks operations.
Course Content
- Location and avoidance of underground apparatus
- Signing, lighting and guarding
- Excavations in the Highway
- Reinstatements and compaction of back fill
- Reinstatements of sub-base and road base in non-bituminous materials
- Reinstatements in bituminous materials
- Reinstatement of modular surfaces (flags and block paving etc.) and concrete footways
