Please note the below is intended as a guide to the type of candidate Esteem recommend you put forward for this Programme;  Should manage and organise the works on site (in comparison - at Site Supervisor level – the candidate solely supervises the site)  Job title should be Site Manager, above, or equivalent  Should be reporting to the Contracts Manager, Director or equivalent  Do not need to be the main contractor on site   Should be responsible for quality standards on site  Can be office based but must have site access 
This course is ideal for

SMSTS is recommended in order to complete this qualification. An SVQ qualification Level 3 Construction Site Supervision: Building and Civil Engineering at SCQF level 6 would be advantageous. 

Course Aims

The SVQ level 4 or SCQF Level 9 award in Construction Site Management: Building and Civil Engineering has been designed in partnership with CITB Sector Skills Councilto ensure relevance to the sector.

It is also jointly awarded with the
Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). 

Course Content

This qualification covers areas such as developing and maintaining good working relationships; establishing, implementing and maintaining systems for managing health, safety and welfare; monitoring project activities; organising, controlling and monitoring supplies of materials; and controlling project quantities and costs.
