Course Aims
This course is designed for operators who use fall arrest equipment to gain access and egress to structures using fixed protected & unprotected ladders. The aim of the course is to provide delegates with knowledge and practical experience of rescuing a suspended casualty from both energy absorbing lanyards & fixed vertical systems.Course Content

COURSE SYLLABUS
Practical
- Safe access and egress of fixed protected & unprotected ladders using fall arrest lanyards & fixed fall arrest systems.
- Pre-use Inspection & basic operation of Gotcha Evac 2 & Haulerbiner (Rescue System).
- Cut-off rescue of suspended casualty using fall arrest lanyards
- Pick-off rescue of suspended casualty using fixed fall arrest system
- Casualty Management
Qualifications Obtained
On successful completion candidates will receive a certificate valid for three years issued by Spanset.Entry Requirements
- Delegates must have successfully completed SpanSet's - Safety Harness Theory Training (or equivalent) with a minimum of 12 months validity.
- Delegates must be 18 years and over.
- All delegates must be able to certify they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them working at height prior to commencement of training. (A list of conditions that could affect practical training is available upon request. If in doubt, call our team on 01606 738529 for advice prior to booking).
- SpanSet reserves the right to exclude unsuitable delegates from training courses.
- Delegates must have a good knowledge of written and spoken English
